So while I was looking at my post on the Pokemon teams I made for different Morth characters and it got me thinking, ‘How can I incorporate a concept like this into actual Pokemon games like sword and shield’? Now during this time, I was looking at youtube videos for pokemon sword and shield nuzlockes. And then the idea struck me like how Imp struck down shiva
Without further ado, I present to you
THE TWELVE-LOCKE (cue dramatic music)
The twelve-locke is similar to a regular pokemon nuzlocke. However, this version of the challenge has a little more style and freedom to it. Here are the official rules for a pokemon sword and shield Twelve-locke
Like a regular Nuzlocke you are limited to catching 1 Pokemon in each route/wild area section you are in. However, you will be able to use the open world rng that appears in sword in shield, giving you more freedom when choosing which Pokemon you can catch
When you catch said Pokemon from route, you MUST give that pokemon a name based on one of the MANY characters in morth (Yes that includes all main and side characters of twelve, origins, and intandem), this name choosing is based on who the Pokemon is most alike to which character
When battling, you are limited to using 2 recovery items in each battle; nothing more, nothing less
If one of your pokemon/characters die in a battle, you cannot use them anymore (This is inspired by the reapers taking their soul, just like the lore of morth)...HOWEVER…
During the entirety of the twelve-locke, you get to play reaper. You will have a counter that indicates all the Pokemon that you defeat, and when you defeat a Pokemon, that counter will increase by one, indicating that you “reaped” that pokemons soul. As said by a certain pickle, once a reaper collects a certain amount of souls, they can come back to life. So, when you defeat a certain number of Pokemon (The number of Pokémon you defeat can be in the range of 60 or above, get creative) you are able to bring one of your defeated Pokemon back to life
Once that Pokemon has been brought back to life, the counter will reset at zero, ready for the next number of Pokemon you defeat.
When a Pokemon dies, you can put them in one of the PC boxes that can represent a graveyard or the star that the lantern bearer puts you on
When ALL of your Pokemon are wiped out (Meaning every single Pokemon you have captured) its game over, you’ve literally been cypressed (I’m sorry cypress your the best)
And that's all the rules to the Twelve-locke. Now, for everyone in this forum (Including all VA’s and Holly herself) I challenge YOU to run the Twelve-locke. I will be doing this challenge myself when playing pokemon sword. I would love to hear the teams you created in the game and who knows, maybe we can challenge each other to see how strong our teams are. I hope you like this challenge and if you have began the twelve-locke, don't hesitate to reply cause that would be awesome.
